Director
Harry Lomas (CFP™ Chartered MCSI)
With over 14 years of experience, Harry has brought a wealth of knowledge to the company. Having run a successful financial services business in South Africa for several years, Harry and his family moved to the UK in 2016, where he joined David Winter IFA as a financial advisor. His role has since evolved into a director of the company.
Being a chartered member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments, he has significant experience in managing investments and providing sound financial planning advice for clients.
“Being a Certified Financial Planner™ as well a Chartered Wealth Manager™ enables me to not only give appropriate financial planning advice, but also fully understand the intrinsic management of the underlying investments in a client’s portfolio. I believe that every client’s situation is different, and I enjoy structuring and implementing a plan tailored to suit their specific needs”.
When he’s not in the office or visiting historical sites with his wife and 3 sons, Harry will be on a cricket field or found somewhere riding his mountain bike.
Director
Gwyneth Down
Gwyneth joined David Winter IFA in September 2001, after a successful managerial career with The Halifax. She became a director of the company in 2007, having spent those initial years helping to develop and expand the business.
Her focus is on ensuring that clients receive the best possible service to match the high quality of advice that the Independent Financial Advisers provide. That might mean creating or improving processes within the office or dealing directly with both clients and providers to ensure that business is transacted smoothly.
In September 2023, Gwyneth and Harry successfully purchased the business and the company continues to grow and thrive.
When not at work Gwyneth likes to travel, as well as pursuing a range of outdoor activities. As a mother of 4 girls and Granny to 4 gorgeous grandchildren, spare time is limited!
Financial Adviser
Robert Peters (DipPFS)
Rob joined David Winter IFA as a financial adviser, bringing over several years of experience in financial services.
His career in financial services started as a Pensions Support Administrator for a large corporate company and then developed into a Pension and Retirement Specialist where he supported clients on a guided basis in accumulating wealth into their pension savings, as well as keeping abreast with regulatory changes.
Rob holds a Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning from the Chartered Insurance Institute and is currently studying towards a chartered status. He is looking forward to being part of the legacy at David Winter IFA.

Outside of work, Rob enjoys playing golf, fishing, as well as visiting European historical sites with his wife and 3 children.
Administrator
Linda Rustell
Linda has been working for David Winter for almost 20 years and been an integral part of the team where she has grown and supported many changes, not least of which is in technology! Having garnered not just a wealth of experience but knowledge as well, Linda has embraced all these changes in her stride and in the last few years she has concentrated on clients’ reviews.
“I am a conscientious worker and take pride in providing a personal service”
When Linda is away from the office, she very much likes to be outside either in her garden or out and about exploring with her husband in their double Kayak.
Administrator
Charlotte Alderson
Originally from South Yorkshire, Charlotte has over 18 years’ experience as an Administration Assistant. She joined David Winter 2013 and continues to gain a great deal of experience working with clients and the David Winter IFA team. Charlotte’s daily responsibilities include supporting our advisers to help ensure our clients meet their goals.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and my hobbies are baking and gardening.

Jennifer Grier
Jennifer is originally from Kent and has been working within financial services industry since 2000. Jennifer joined David Winter in 2024.
“I enjoy spending time with my family and can often be found with them at their various sporting activities.”
